Hello!
Welcome to my site. I’m delighted you’ve decided to drop in. It's a privilege to share a few minutes with you. Perhaps you'd like to read an interview I gave at http://karenelange.blogspot.com/2010/04/interview-with-author-gayle-roper.html. It's always fun to be considered an authority.
Just a reminder to stop by www.AmishReader.com to get the latest info about some of the titles Harvest House is rolling out.
I don't know about you, but I absolutely love books. I love reading them and writing them, especially fiction. There's something about a story that touches the heart as it informs the mind.
When I pack for vacation, I pack my books first, then clothes and food. The idea of being left with nothing to read is about the worst thing I can imagine.
When I write, I write for people like me, regular people, readers who enjoy good writing and want to have a good time reading. Though I write about things like unwed pregnancies, spousal abuse and homosexuality, these issues are so integrated into my stories--and balanced by plenty of suspense, mystery, humor and romance--that readers do not feel lectured to or preached at. Or so they tell me.
Occasionally I also write nonfiction. My most recent nonfiction release is A Woman and Her Emotions. This book looks at seven things that may give us trouble with our feelings, and six things that may help us get better control. I hope the answers will be a help to you.
While you're here, I hope you'll also take the time to enjoy some of the resources I have for you on my For Readers page. For those interested in a writing career, I've included some helpful tips in the For Writers section.
And before you go, I'd love to hear from you. Send me a note
